Until It's Over is a gripping thriller from Nicci French; the top selling author team at the height of their writing powers.
Young and athletic, London cycle courier Astrid Bell is bad luck - for other people. First Astrid's neighbour Peggy Farrell accidentally knocks her off her bike - and not long after is found bludgeoned to death in an alley.
Then a few days later, Astrid is asked to pick up a package from a wealthy woman called Ingrid de Soto, only to find the client murdered in the hall of her luxurious home.
For the police it's more than coincidence. For Astrid and her six housemates it's the beginning of a nightmare: suspicious glances, bitter accusations, fallings out and a growing fear that the worst is yet to come? Because it's true that bad luck comes in threes - who will be the next to die?
Nicci Gerrard was born in June 1958 in Worcestershire. After graduating with a first class honours degree in English Literature from Oxford University she began her first job; working with emotionally disturbed children in Sheffield. In that same year she married journalist Colin Hughes.
Sean French was born in May 1959 in Bristol, to a British father and Swedish mother. He studied English Literature at Oxford University at the same time as Nicci, also graduating with a first class degree, but their paths didn't cross until 1990. In 1981 he won Vogue magazine's Writing Talent Contest, and from 1981 to 1986 he was their theatre critic. During that time he also worked at The Sunday Times as Deputy Literary Editor and television critic, was the film critic for Marie Claire and Deputy Editor of New Society.
Cosmopolitan
“Brilliantly plotted, crisply written and very, very frightening.”
Harpers and Queen
“Cancel all appointments and unplug the phone. Once started, you will do nothing until you finish this thriller.”
The Independent on Sunday
“Shocking, uncomfortable, exhilarating. The most tightly plotted and petrifying of Nicci French's thrillers to date. Don't read it at home alone.”
The Mirror
“Nicci French is excellent at building up suspense and elegantly exploiting all our worst fears.”

Whole Story Audio Books has developed a unique system to guide you on the level of explicit content in our audio books. The system is applied against our titles to consistently rate levels of explicit language, sex and violence.
We consider not only frequency of content type but also the context: for example, strong language in a humorous setting is different from aggressive use of strong language.
Whilst there will always be subjectivity and different individuals views on this matter, we hope that you will find our content guide useful if these criteria form part of your selection process when choosing your next audio book.
