Synopsis

The Business, a multi-national company of global importance, has influence and power galore. Kate, incredibly bright or extremely lucky, is a Level 3 Executive, paid to invest money in new technological projects. In the past, The Business operated under cover in world affairs - its ownership of the Roman Empire wasn't generally known, nor its possession of several sets of Crown Jewels.

Now it wants a seat on the UN. The UN has other ideas, but The Business plans to thwart its opposition with a mixture of subterfuge and double-crossing. However, subterfuge and double-crossing work inside The Business as well as out of it.
