Tom Cotcher

Tom Cotcher trained at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama from '68 to '71. His early years in the business took the familiar path of work in repertory theatre, notably three years at the Dundee Repertory Theatre Company.

Tom has extensive experience in television, including Eddie Fraser in the series Making News, and DC Alan Woods in The Bill. He also works as a narrator and has covered numerous documentary series for The National Geographic Channel, History Channel, Discovery Channel and Channel 4. He is also the narrator for the highly successful writer Ian Rankin's unabridged Inspector Rebus novels. Tom's rich voice lends itself perfectly as the voice of Rebus for Ian Rankin fans worldwide, bringing to life the world-weary Scottish Detective and the underworld of Edinburgh.

Tom has lived in Brighton with his actress wife Cookie Weymouth and their two sons, for the last 24 years.
